You’ve made the first big decision and decided that a breast augmentation is for you! Now you may be begin to wonder about breast implant sizes. The first question you will want to ask yourself is, “How do I want to look?”
For most breast augmentations, even ones required due to medical trauma, there are some thoughts of aesthetics. And there is no correct answer to what size is right for you. What might seem too small for some women may be much too large to others. This is also true in the measurement of CCs with implants – 300cc may be large on a petite woman but would look very modest on someone 6 feet tall. Since there is no definitive answer to this question, it really comes down to how you feel. You are most likely going into your breast augmentation experience with some thoughts on how large you would like your breasts. Some ladies may want a C cup, some may want an F cup! So take some time, truly look at yourself and decide, how do you want to look?
The next question you should be asking is, “Will my breasts affect my lifestyle?” When thinking about this, think about all the criteria. Do you enjoy extreme workouts or long runs? Do you still plan to have children? Do you want to breastfeed? Are you ready for the change?
While it is true that breast implants can boost self-esteem and body image, a keen self-awareness is needed to recognize that you are doing what is best for you and that it is what you want!
No matter your reasons, if you have decided that breast augmentation is for you than that is the most important answer you can give to yourself. From there, it is time to go over some of these more “technical” questions so that you can be truly happy with your decision and with your new body.
